| This light’s housing starts out as a 3.5 lb. bar of 6061 aluminum and after machining it weighs less than .5 lb complete with bulb. This light was styled after body and trim pieces on hot rods from the 50’s. The housing is machined all over and has a kind of prototype part feel to it. The machining marks are visible but the housing is very smooth to the touch. Dimensions are 3-1/2 inches long, 2-5/8 inches high, and 2-3/8 inches wide. The lens is 1-1/8 diameter. The bulb has 12 red LED’s that give this light amazing visibility despite its compact size. The light uses 12v, draws almost no current, and doesn’t require anything special to wire it in. Just wire it like any other brake light and it’s good to go. The housing mounts to your bike with two 10-32 stainless steel button head Allen screws. |
